The first step is to consult your school’s required books list. Make a list of all of the ISBNs for your required textbooks for the semester. If your school doesn’t offer a list of required books, go to the bookstore and write down the ISBNs from off the back of the books.
Once you have all of your ISBNs, log onto the textbook website of your choice. To create an account you will need to give them:
- Your name
- Your credit card information
- Your mailing address

You can click on “More Info” next to each item if you want to get more details about the book or the seller. If you find a book that fits your needs click “Buy”. You can then choose your payment options and choose your shipping address.

Reselling your books at the local school bookstore will at most bring a return of sixty percent of the purchase price. When you sell your books online you are likely to receive a ninety percent, sometimes even over a hundred percent return of the purchase price.
